INCOME LIMITS

The Affordable Housing Program is designed to help residents afford to live in Prince Georges County near major employment centers and public transportation, helping you avoid long, expensive commutes and enjoy more time living where you work.

The income limits and maximum rents allowed for affordable rental units are listed below, effective May 19, 2026.

Note: Maximum incomes allowed for tenants of affordable rental units are based on the number of persons in the household, not the size of the apartment home.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

If you are interested in applying for one of our affordable apartment homes, please provide the following documentation at the time of application. Additional documentation may be requested depending on your household circumstances.

Proof of Lawful Presence
Drivers License, State Identification Card, and/or Passport
Social Security Card
Income Documentation
  • Social Security Income Statement
  • Six most recent pay stubs
  • Current savings account statements
  • Unemployment statements
  • Self-employed 1099 tax documentation
  • Six most recent checking account bank statements
  • Documentation for stocks, bonds, pensions, 401(k), retirement funds, trusts, and life insurance policies
If applicable, households with children must also provide:
  • Birth certificates
  • Social Security cards
  • Proof of custody documentation
  • Custody and child support affidavit
  • Child support income statements
